Its a classic Baucher design, commonly known as a hanging cheek snaffle, and the Sydney is a lightweight, loose ring, double jointed version with no locking mechanism to set it straight. The round, short centrepiece reduces pressure on the tongue, and can produce difference types of pressure when needed. The titanium bit has a unique tapered form
